Ball Head with monopod?
Just wondering if anyone uses a ball head with a monopod, particularly for sports, and if so do you find it beneficial?

i have done in the past, but only because i saw someone else do it!
i found it occasionally useful, but not very often. on the other side it certainly wasnt a hinderance and seeing as my 486rc2 head fits my mono and tripods it's no extra expense. |

Could never see the point of a ball-head on a monopod , I use a mono with a QR plate for Motorsport (panning) and it gives pretty good results (IMO

Having said that, there's so much movement I'm not sure a monopod would be that much of a help anyway, I think I've already talked myself out of it
