Re: Batteries
I haven't no, but I wouldn't go near them. If Nikon can screw up the batteries what's the hope for a chinese cloning company - also what's the chances of them putting out a recall and you hearing about it?
I personally would pay the extra and get real nikons. I'm also not sure I'd buy any battery from ebay... My bud has a old coolpix 5000 - his nikon battery is about 4 years old and lasts about 1-2 hours he also has a cheap nikon copy which is only about 2 years old and he's lucky if he can get 10-15 minutes out of it. |

Re: Batteries
I bought two batteries and a double charger from here for my Canon video camera. They were half of the price of the Canon equivalents, and almost a year on, I've had no problems at all.

Re: Batteries
I can't comment on Nikon replacements but the Canon ones that I have used have all been excellent. If you shop around you can get Canon equiverlants that are more powerfull and cost a fraction of the price of the originals, the ones I use came from a company in Scotland and I got two for just under £15 comparred to almost £55 for one original Canon.
They have been used in exactly the same way as my Canon originals and charge times take slightly longer but they also last slightly longer when in use. Both these batteries are now 18months old and as good as when I bought them. HTH |

Re: Batteries
I have six Canon BP-511 batteries, four of which are clones, and I haven't noticed any significant difference in performance except that (as Steve says) the older Canon one has less capacity than the clones or the newer BP-511A.
BUT, I can't say whether this applies to Nikon. Perhaps a branded clone such as Uniross or Hähnel would be a safer bet? |

Re: Batteries
i have 3 BP511 jessops own batteries and they are half the price of cannons own at £25 each and last a lot longer than canons, a jessops recomendation from me is as rare as rocking horse ****, but fair play i personally find their batteries are great,

Re: Batteries
I have two Canon clones from 7DayShop, 2 for £13. They're as good as, if not better than my original.
