Best budget flatbed scanner ?

OK, I stood on my last scanner when moving house. From memory it was a Canon 670 , didn't cost much, but did the job.

Can anyone recommend a budget Flatbed scanner (a4) that produces resoanble scans of photographs please ?

Might even be interested in one of these all in one priner/scanners. Printer is for text only, just need to ensure scans are OK Something like the Canon - PIXMA MP150 ?

Re: Best budget flatbed scanner ?

For flat bed scanners i've always used Epson, started with the Epson perfection 1600 and then perfection 3200, always been more than happy with these. Not sure if they are budget or not, but on the plus side you can scan negs and slide though maybe not be too brill at this depending on usage, (but for medium format are larget format you could do worse, just not too hot on 35mm).

Re: Best budget flatbed scanner ?

I have a Canon Lide 35. Excellent scanner - has OCR packaged with it and not expensive.
