Select by colour range is a bit easier.

Re: Best Photo Software for Chroma Key ?
I've recently been looking into this and can't make my mind up about it
, I don't know weather ther backgrounds will look false etc , but it will take away the need for several different backdrops I suppose, if you're interested there are some sellers on Ebay doing digital backgrounds by the hundreds, reasonable price too, soz its a bit off topic ![]() Last edited by Raymo : 25-03-2008 at 18:16. |

Re: Best Photo Software for Chroma Key ?
That's OK Raymo. I've bought the blind as a trial, to see if it's worth pursuing

Re: Best Photo Software for Chroma Key ?
I just got FX photokey, it's only about £59 and it's brilliant.
You can download a demo here FXhome.com :: Products :: PhotoKey :: Overview I've also just ordered two large green and blue backdrops from Karlu photographic for a very good price. Karlu Photographic |

Re: Best Photo Software for Chroma Key ?
Hey Dave, how did you get on with the chroma key backdrop etc is it worth a go or would you give it a miss? I still can't decide on a coloured backdrop or try the chroma key affair, cheers

Re: Best Photo Software for Chroma Key ?
Sorry Raymo for not getting back to you . Haven't had time to try it , other than a quick test where it wasn't perfect around fine hair of a model.
Re backgrounds, if you have the room I would play with lighting effect on just a white background. These were taken approx 8ft from background & due to light falling off the further it goes back, you get a wonderful graduated grey to the background. You can also do same with any plain-ish background :- ![]() I know PeteT bought a Chroma background so might be worth asking him for update

Re: Best Photo Software for Chroma Key ?
You need cross lighting for this, it was about 5ft and two to one stop variance on the lights.

Re: Best Photo Software for Chroma Key ?
IMO this is one of the best take a look
digitalanarchy.com They also make a Backdrop Designer. They make Photoshop plug-ins for these: 1-Backdrop Designer 2-Knoll Light Factory 3.0 3-Primatte Chromakey 3.0 |
