Can you remember all the camera's you've owned?

Whilst welcoming Minnie's Mum to Pixalo I noticed she's had a few cameras and thought it would be interesting to read what cameras other members have/had over the years, particularly those who have used film. To start, I've not been in the game that long but my cameras include -

Fujifilm MX1200 - went in the bin
Fujifilm S602 Pro - still use
Canon 20D - px for a....
Canon 30D - sold to an eminent member of these forums who I believe still uses it
Agfa Karat Rangefinder - my only film camera.
Canon 40D - still use
Canon 5D - still use
Canon IXUS 960 (The wife's really)

Re: Can you remember all the camera's you've owned?

Dozens of rubbish 35mm compacts
Canon EOS 300 sold to get
Canon EOS 50 sold to get
Canon EOS 1N which I loved but fell out of use when I got the 20D which was preceded by a
Fuji S5000 which was ok I suppose but I gave it to my dad (who sold photos taken with it!) as I stumped up cash for a
Canon EOS 20D that continues to be my main camera, 5 years on but it didn't stop me buying a
Canon EOS 1D that I thought would be as much fun as the 1N but I never really got much use out of it so sold that to fund a
Skiing trip to Poland!. Ok getting off topic.. I always wanted an 80s brick type camera so bought a
Centon CE4 with all the bells and whistles, it's a lovely chunky metal thing for holidays, also had a
Ricoh KR10 but it broke, as did a
Ricoh GX100 but I knew it was faulty when I got it and never got round to seeing about repairs, in the interim I got a
Samsung NV7 to use as a compact which is does very well. Lastly I own a dearly loved, light leaking, cost me £10
Lubitel 166B which I'll be buried with.

Re: Can you remember all the camera's you've owned?

i never was into photography before digital so my cameras are few.
Olympus Brio 2mp........... still got it and it takes super shots, but obviously has its limitations. ( cost over £200 btw!)

Fuji 3500 which absolutely blew me away and was the main blame for leading me into wanting to know and do more. Sold that to a friend who still using it.

Fuji 6900........... first introduction to bridge cameras. sold it

Fuji 9500........... taught me how to use manual and introduced me to RAW.

Canon 400D.......... again blew me away with my first DSLR........ ALan now using it but its still my second camera cos he hasnt been good enough to deserve one of his own yet!

Canon 30D....... bought from another eminent member of this site and yes its still going strong!

My first camera was a Praktika, then I got an Canon EOS 650 for my 18th birthday.
I switched to digital with the Canon EOS 350D, which I bought at a discount when the 400D was released.

Ahh, the good old reliable, built-like-a-tank Zenith E! Superb! My first camera which went everywhere with me - probably the best film shots I ever took were with that. Got nicked

Other film:
Pentax MX (which I loved - manual). Nicked
Pentax ME Super (which I tolerated - auto). Fell to bits
Pentax MZ-5n (which I still have and hate - auto + AF)

Digital:
Fuji S602Z (love, still use)
Sigma SD10 (superb, still my best shots ever, now IR+visible camera)
Canon 350D (transition from Sigma so it was never going to be liked!)
Canon 30D (OK - capable and reliable)
Canon 20D (my current macro camera - the equal of my 30D)

Moble phone:
SE k750i (still occasionally use - produced some good shots)
SE C905 (remarkably competent for such a small camera)

I'm vaguely contemplating a smallish bridge to carry everywhere with me - and seriously considering getting another Sigma to get back to good photos

Re: Can you remember all the camera's you've owned?

My very first camera was a 110 film type but can't remember its name! Was just rectangular with one button to release the shutter! (edit: with Goggle's help, I've discovered that it was an Agfamatic pocket camera!)

Then I got a compact 35mm film camera with zoom (Minolta I think but can't remember...)

My first 'proper' camera was a Praktika MTL 3! It was excellent and that really taught me all about photography!!

I 'upgraded' to a Minolta Dynax 404si - which I then sold to buy a Minolta Dynax 700 si (I later bought a second body)
I still have the 700si's and all the lenses!

I went digital in 2005 with a Minolta Dimage Z3
which was recently replaced (about 5 weeks ago) with an Olympus SP590 which I love!

Canon Ixus 85 (won from Canon now given to my son)
Canon EOS 5D Mk II (latest)

This seems a shorter list than some but covers nearly 40 years.

Re: Can you remember all the camera's you've owned?

Film:
Zenit B - present from my Dad - gave it back to him, I think. Still got the hand held meter I used with it for the Autocord.
Praktica LTL3 - sold
Minolta Autocord TLR - still got it.
Agfamatic 4000 - 110 cartridge camera - sold
Olympus XA2 x 4, XA3, XA4, still got the first a couple of XA2 and the XA3. The XA4 sold to someone in Japan, for what I paid for it!
Minolta XGM, sold
Minolta X700, three of them, Dad has one on loan, one dropped but is still usuable (rewind lock pin keeps slipping), last one still ok. All are Japan manufacture with metal sole plates, later models were plastic and made in Taiwan!

Digital
Fuji F810, dropped, broken.
Fuji F60FD
Fuji F810, 2nd hand (advantage over F60Fd is that it has viewfinder for bright days, and can make movies in widescreen format!)
Nikon D80, sold
Nikon D90 current SLR.

Re: Can you remember all the camera's you've owned?

Film:
Olympus OM10
Olympus OM2/SP still got this and use it
Olympus XA still got it but needs a service

Digital:
Olympus 310
Sony A100

My favourite is still the OM2/sp. Put Kodak Ektar 100 or Fuji Reala in it and the results are still fantastic. Some would say better than digital

Not really, besides, I doubt there's room on the Pixalo server for a full list!

Re: Can you remember all the camera's you've owned?

Box brownie
rettinette 1B
Practica (various models)
Minolta 700s1
Exacta 11B
Sony 717
Sony compact
Olympus E 500
Sony 350
...and probably a lot more I can't remember just now. I shudder when I look at the collection of antique models in the local camera shop and think of the days when those were the " in cameras" to have.

Re: Can you remember all the camera's you've owned?

Pentax P30 - Bought by hubby (then boyfriend) for my 21st Birthday, still got it, although not used, really can't sell for sentimental reasons.
Canon 300 (film) sold to fund 300D
300D sold to fund 20D
20D still have as backup
40D sold as was a mistake and I never did like it so it was sold to fund...
1D MkIII which I love
In between, I've also had a few compact camera's.
