Canon 100mm macro v 85mm 1.8

Just a practical question from u guys,

Looking for nice portrait lense. At the moment I have 100mm macro and Use it sometimes for tight portraits. Do u think it would make sense to invest in 85mm 1.8 for portraits? I know 1.8 could do lot better at low light, but apart of that...?
Or maybe better go with 50mm 1.4?
Thank u!

I don't do portraites ,but going from what the guy's say, a 50mm if you want full body,a 85mm for great head and shoulder's ,but if you have a lot of room to shoot in ,the 85mm let's you give the sitter some room for comfort.

I'm still undecided on my 50mm at f1.4 but as you have the 100 macro, I think a 50mm would be a more useful lens in the long run.

Decided to buy both as I could do some stage photography as well with 85 mm. Buying both of them used so save a little bit.
