Canon 135/2.8

Ive been looking at this lens for a while now but before i buy id like to know if it would suit me, 1 is it strictly macro only, 2 is it a tripod job everytime you use it, and 3 is it very limited in its use ie just for special things or could one walk around with it, thank you ....Ray

Re: Canon 135/2.8

Sorry but are you referring to the 135mmn soft focus lens?

This is one of Canon's original EF lenses and has quite a slow focus motor.

The 100mm f2.8 macro has a USM and I've used mine quite a lot for non macro stuff. Its L grade optics without the red ring

Re: Canon 135/2.8

Well I personally wouldn't bother with the 135. The 100 macro on the other hand can be employed in all sorts of scenarios.

Though just to mix things up further, the Canon 135 f2L would be a very nice
