This lens seems to be the bread and butter lens for pro's covering football and rugby.
A pro I was shooting along side at a recent sporting event had one which was also well battered around the lens hood. |

Matt used to live in my home town before moving to the coast. I did ask him a while ago if he'd be interested in doing a 'hire' arrangement where I'd 'buy' a lens for the weekend as such.
He didn't want to go for that
