Re: Canon flashgun

Moved to "Cameras, Lenses and Accessories" for you Nipaipo, should help get you some good replies...

...In regards to your question, have a look at the Sigma EF-500 DG Super flashgun, cheaper than the Canons and many seem to rate it, worth a try out at your local shop... they also do an even cheaper less powerful model, the EF-500 ST

Re: Canon flashgun

you could also consider the Canon 430ex here Canon 430EX Speedlite TTL Shoe-Mount Flash for £145

they also do the sigma that sonsey spoke of for £126

Re: Canon flashgun

Also look out for a secondhand Canon 550EX.

Of the Sigmas, if you can it's better to go for the EF-500 DG Super rather than the ST version which lacks some useful facilities such as full manual control - I think it only has full power and 1/16.

Re: Canon flashgun

The Sigma EF-500 DG Super flashgun has got several differing reports however this is the one i have been looking at. Are there big differences between the DG st and the DG super? or should i go for the canon 430ex?
