Carl Zeiss lenses for DSLR in K (ZK) mounts

Not sure if that will appeal to anyone, but Zeiss keeps introducing new lenses for the Pentax DSLR's.
I am quite happy to report that my newly acquired Zeiss T*Planar 85/1.4 works wonderfully and, in spite of the manual-focus-only, it is a gem.
Nevertheless, hre are a few details:

The manually focusable Carl Zeiss SLR lenses for analog and digital single-lens reflex cameras are available with four different mounts. The SLR lenses are designed for use on cameras with an F bayonet (ZF), EF bayonet (ZE), K bayonet (ZK) and the traditional M42 screw threads (ZS).

They are known for their outstanding image quality and very precise, long-lasting mechanical parts. The particularly large rotary angle of the focusing ring enables particularly precise focusing. With the SLR lenses, Carl Zeiss provides fans of SLR photography with lenses featuring outstanding imaging performance and high durability with which the performance of their camera system can be fully utilized.

Carl Zeiss: Makro-Planar T* 2/50

It is well worth a look!
I can say that my new lens is very solidly built (heavy!) and handles like a charm.
Here is an image of it:

I have three in Nikon ZF mount and they are wonderful. I've had a few in the past and some of the 'classics', like 135mm 3.5 and the 35mm 2.4 are still very competitive IQ wise today.

Condyk.
I am sure you enjoy those lenses.
I am still testing it and, with much trial and error, I find it quite difficult to hold the focus at f1.4 !! If I am lucky, I can get one good image out of 20 at that aperture. The problem is the photographer, not the lens!
On the other hand, the sharpness (at f3.5 to f16) is indeed incredible and the bokeh simply fantastic at f1.4to f2.8.
After much testing, I will soon try to do some portraits (natural light only) although I am totally new at this.
Hope to talk again soon.
Cheers.

Try it on a tripod and that will improve.
