Converter.

I've just got my hands on a sony alpha a350, a much better camera than my eos 400d. The only problem I have is that I recently bought a f/1.8 nifty for the canon. I don't really want to let this lens go.. so does anyone know of a converter to let me use it on the sony?
Cheers
sbb.

Re: Converter.

I'm sure you can get them from e-bay, but SRB-Griturn also do converters and can make them if they don't stock them.

You will probably have to use the lens in manual focus and exposure mode whatever converter you get.

Re: Converter.

Cheers dabs, I'm now considering selling all the canon gear and buying the sony 50mm. It's not as expensive as I'd first thought.

That would be the best bet.

Re: Converter.

I love my Sony 350 but might look at the replacement for the 700 that's due out soon

Re: Converter.

If you want to save the pennies you could get an AF 50mm F1.7 Minolta for not a lot of money, usually less than 100 and excellent value.

Re: Converter.

Agree with above, and selling on to buy a Sony or Minolta would be the best option.
If using a converter though ,I would also recommend SRB-GRITBURN as they are a genuine British machinist that turn out A1 components as apposed to taking chances with stuff from China .
srb are a lot dearer, but the quality is there, and you always have to pay for quality........
