D300 goes on the tv
After my 6 month old 19 inch Samsung flat screen on my comp decided to burst into flames this week i have some planks comin tomorroz to view some pics so i went out and bought a HD cable to connect my D300 to my 42 inch plasma .............................................:shoc k:
good god why didnt i do this months ago cable cost me a tenner from Argos Decent cable as well. Just sat ploughin throu me 700 of Dubai. I got to somehow work out thou how to get the pic full screen as ive got some details at the bottom of the screen and when i use the zoom button on the camera i loose some of the pic but its certainly made my day. Plus i treated myself to a new CD player today a NAD one gonna play with that in a min U can use the slideshow in the menu on the camera but would be nice to have them showing for more than the max 10 secs allowed. Still i suppose there are ways just gotta work it out.

Re: D300 goes on the tv
I've got to say that, when showing others your photographs, you can't beat using a 32" LCD or better to do so... it's easier than having folks crowd round a monitor and much more relaxing (sofas, anyone?)
Now, to save the hassle of hooking up your camera every time, go get an XBox 360 or PS3 and put your JPGs onto their HDD's instead

Re: D300 goes on the tv
Well the 360 can read DVDs no problem... at say around 5MB per JPG from the D300, you could fit roughly 1000 shots onto a blank DVD and have them stream that way.
Alternatively, if your 360 is networked, you can have it stream media (including photos) straight from your PC. The how-to is a bit involved so just google it. |
