D4 video oversight

having now had a D4 for a few months I've been experimenting with its video capabilities I've now realised you can remotely start and stop video by changing a setting in the menu doing this at the moment with a MC36 remote release however to me one oversight by nikon is the fact that to start video you have to be in live view and you can't get out of live view whilst video recording therefore draining the battery uncessilary . I've also got a wireless release by a third party but this still wouldn't resolve it I just think that nikon made a oversight on this one
One thing I'm most impressed with is the in camera ability to straighten converging verticals etc and saving the modified image as a separate image along side the original I've now also started when shooting having one JPEG and one raw file saved to the card having a fast 16 Gb card is obviously a big help
