I have an old Tamron SP 90mm f2.5 macro lens from film days. I'd like to change the mount and use in on my digital camera.

All the optics are immaculate, bar one small spec of dust and what looks like a very small hair inside.

Is there any way to get this disassembled / cleaned or would the cost prohibit it ?

If not who would do it ?

I've a couple of M42 lenses with a converter and have had some really great results but I don't think it would be worth my getting them professionally cleaned - I'd probably have a go myself, despite the lack of calibration equipment (and a 'clean' area!) or (more likely) live with the dust/hair! I'd prefer to spend the money on a newer lens that'll give me autoexposure (not fussed by AF) whose optics are geared better to digital

Don't go to the expense of having it serviced because it will cost you more than the lens is worth, from what I remember this lens that you have was a good one! providing you dont point the lens towards the sun you should have no problems with the hair, you will probably find that in time the hair will move around the inner works of the lens but you should take no notice of it......
