Re: Extreme III or Extreme IV CF Cards
Welcome to Pixalo Alan
![]() The prices of cards varies, even from the same suppliers, so it is best to have a look around. 7day shop, MR2 and play.com usually have good prices. Some charge extra for post and packing, where others do not, so watch out for this. |

Re: Extreme III or Extreme IV CF Cards
I have just gone though this and would definitely recommend the IV over the III. UDMA is the future little or no advantage in most cameras but the upcoming D3 D300 and I am sure for most future SLRs it will be 3 times as quick. Also if you get a UDMA Firewire 800reader in the real world it's 4 times as fast. 2GB a minute which will make life easier. I posted here and taking postage and VAT into account this was the cheapest I could find for the extreme IV and the reader.

Re: Extreme III or Extreme IV CF Cards
Just a note to beware of cheap cards on Ebay (and probably from elsewhere) as there are quite allot of fakes around. I bought one on Ebay and only noticed that it was a fake as China was spelt incorrectly! luckily I was able to get my money back as they wanted to protect their feedback rating.
Re III and IV's. I am no expert, and use both, to my mind the only reason to use the IV is if you need the increased write speeds, if you are taking single shots then the III (or any other cards for that matter) will be fine. |
