Finally got a Crumpler...( no -two !)

Im a born skeptic when it comes to " fashion " and Ive always considered Crumpler to be fashion oriented rather than serious camera bags. I was WRONG.
Id been looking around for a bag that would take 2 SLR/DSLR's side by side with short zooms, not too deep and a shoulder bag. Walked into my local camera shop and spotted a Crumpler Muffin top 5500. Tried the cameras in the bag -adjusted the dividers a bit. PERFECT fit.
Totally impressed with the design, construction, ease of access, comfortable to wear.
So I then got a 7500 from Bristol Cameras ( cheapest source in the UK ). It actually looks no bigger than the 5500 on the outside but internally is a bit wider both ways but again not too deep. It takes 2 DSLR's plus an extra lens or two and a few more bits and bobs. Another crackin' bag.
Also me being a female -can take the dividers out and use as a day/trip bag for shopping, picnics, etc.
Im happy

I've often looked at these with the same initial impression you had, preferring instead to go for something from the usual suspects (Lowpro, Tamrac)... I might take another closer look now.

I really do like the crumplers though. They are colourfull and funky

But if I would buy one then it would look like I start a new collection of bags as I've already got 4 The thing is though, every bag has it's good purpose

Re: Finally got a Crumpler...( no -two !)

haha one is never enough I also have a small Lowepro, a Hama Rucksack and a Tamrac Velocity Slingshot. I wanted another bag to carry jusy 2 cameras side by side which wasnt too big/bulky. The Crumpler 5500 was the only one that bit the bill that I could try out in my local camera shop. Having bought that I discovered just how multifunctional crumplers are and funky like you say.
I want a Pretty Bella 400 in Roadkill Red next.....
