Flash Help - Looking to buy a Flash Unit
I am looking to purchase a flash unit for my 400D and so far I have been looking at the Canon Speedlites. They all seem to be a bit pricey and I was wondering if anyone could reccomend a cheaper alternative.
Maybe I would have to bite the bullet and part with some of my hard earned money and go for the Speedlite. |

Re: Flash Help - Looking to buy a Flash Unit
The Sigma flashguns all have good reports from what I've heard, something like the 500DG Super might be just right for you. It has a lot of the same features as the Canon equivalent

Re: Flash Help - Looking to buy a Flash Unit
I had the Super Sigma for about 18 months. It's an excellent flash, but build quality not quite up to Canon, which is why I sold it and got a 580EX. But for a first flash at a good price you can't go wrong with it.

Re: Flash Help - Looking to buy a Flash Unit
Thanks for the pointers. I think I will look at the Sigma as a starter and go from there. It is a cheaper unit and appears to have the same functions as the Canon.
