Fuji s6500FD Converter Lenses...

Hi all

I'm toying with the idea of getting a tele and wide angle converter lens for my s6500FD.

I wondered if anyone out there has used these converters, and what they're like (i.e. do they work?!)

If anyone has a converter, is there any chance you could upload a "with and without" sample?

I've trawled the internet in vain for examples before spending 200+ on lenses in case they're not worth it..

thanks in advance

Dave

Welcome to Pixalo Satchman2000

Check out this thread started by Marcin. The early images were taken with a bridge camera and a Raynox close up lens - but you would not be able to get these pictures without it - so no before shots.

Re: Fuji s6500FD Converter Lenses...

Hi Satchman, I can't help with wide-angle but I have two shots taken with a Fuji S602 Pro, the forerunner of your camera, in 2004.

#1 - This shot was at 9mm

#2 - The second shot was of the castle at 46.8mm (maximum for the camera) with an Olympus TCON 14B teleconverter attached. This gave a multiplier of 1.4x. I think you will find the IQ most acceptable but there is no electronic contacts on the Olympus so it does not show up in the exif. Hope that helps.
