GPS data
Not sure if this is the right place to post so feel free to move it if you like. I know you can get a lead for £99 to connect the Nikon to a GPS but it's a lot of hassle in the field. Plus I have sacked my Garmin and got a tiny Bluetooth GPS which works with my smartphone really well. I saw that Sony have a GPS which works with any camera and was tempted until I saw some software called RoboGEO for any GPS tracklog, details here.
It looks great I have downloaded a trial, has anyone here tried it? I will be giving it a go, it works with the logs my phone can save and the timestamp in the EXIF to write EXIF location data. It can then display where the pictures were taken on a map. So no more (usually forgotten) photo logs or recording memos now for me. That is if it works of course, I'll post up when I have had a chance to play. |
