HELP!!
Here is my question,i dont use my 10-22 very often, ive had a offer to swop me for a 17-40 f/4 L if i decided to swop is it a good deal or not any thoughts appreciated thanks...Ray

I have both lenses, two different uses. 10-22 is more of a creative lens, the 17-40 is a great ultra wide lens with very very little distortion if any.

That depends entirely if you get more use out of the 17-40 than you do the 10-22. If you are not using the 10-22 then why not go for it. The difference in cost initially is around £70 with the 17-40L being more expensive.

the 17-40 is not that huge, so shouldn't look too big on the 400D. I've just bought the 17-40 second hand from a camera shop and it's a good lens.

RAY, THAT'S WHY I ALWAYS PUT FILTERS ON MY LENSES. I THINK YOU HAVE MADE
THE RIGHT DECISION IN KEEPING YOUR 10MM - 20MM LENS. I THINK YOU WOULD HAVE REGRETTED IT AFTER. |
