Re: HELP!!

I have both lenses, two different uses. 10-22 is more of a creative lens, the 17-40 is a great ultra wide lens with very very little distortion if any.

That depends entirely if you get more use out of the 17-40 than you do the 10-22. If you are not using the 10-22 then why not go for it. The difference in cost initially is around £70 with the 17-40L being more expensive.

Why should a big lens bother you? Personally I would be more interested in image quality than how it looks mounted........mind you, I have to say that as I use the 24-70 f/2.8L and 70-200 f/2.8L IS on a 350D with grip

Re: HELP!!

the 17-40 is not that huge, so shouldn't look too big on the 400D. I've just bought the 17-40 second hand from a camera shop and it's a good lens.

Re: HELP!!

AS YOU TEND TO DO A LOT OF LANDSCAPE SHOTS RAY, DO YOU THINK IT MIGHT BE
BETTER TO KEEP THE 10MM - 20MM LENS

Re: HELP!!

RAY, THAT'S WHY I ALWAYS PUT FILTERS ON MY LENSES. I THINK YOU HAVE MADE
THE RIGHT DECISION IN KEEPING YOUR 10MM - 20MM LENS. I THINK YOU WOULD
HAVE REGRETTED IT AFTER.
