Homemade Mono-Pod

Mono-Pod used to make some of my Macro Shots was homemade using scraps. Red Oak in QR plate (not QR anymore ) was cut on my TableSaw.

This is raw, and unfinished, but you can see construction before I finish and paint it. Little over One Meter in length from tip to plate. Epoxy Putty was used to join the two parts.

This is the BORING part. The tip is important, though, as it makes the whole thing stable or controllable.

Looks a neat job you've done there. Must say the QR does not look QR now you've glued it.

THANKS. I had mentioned this before in Macro... Forum, and told you I'd try to get a photo. Came through on another as well. Posted a Photo of a drawing I made under People... Forum.

Got my tripod back when I took a long trip in the last few weeks. Over 1,930 miles (3,100 km) round trip. I had left it at a friend's house 6 mo. ago. That is how i got these and some other photo's the other day.

Thanks for the comment. Wanted to know what you all thought.

Noticed you have an old Leica. It was learning about that camera that made me want to get an SLR Camera. The Konica setup I have would have been really expensive 35 or 40 years ago. Got it reasonably priced, and added lenses, etc., as I could. The Macro lens is REALLY useful. Not taken shots using the Adapter as yet, though.
