hello everyone

wondering if anyone can help me, im about to buy a new lense for my canon 400d camera and i like the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III Lens , just wondering if anyone knows anything about this lense, any bad points or is therea better lense i should go for instead.

I don't know too much about Canon lenses, but I believe that the 70-300 might be a better lens. Someone who knows for sure will be along soon.

Hi - the 75-300 is a good lens and there are some good prices. But...the 70-300 IS is much better. I've had one and it's a cracking lens for the money. Save up a bit longer and get the 70-300.

Just seen this thread and agree with Stephano. Have 75-300 which Nellie uses and 70-300 IS myself. The 70-300 IS is a better lens but the 75-300 still gives reasonable results if stopped down.
