I've just bought a.......

..........Sigma EF 500 DG Super flashgun to go with my 20d. I have been mulling over whether to get this or a Speedlite but having read many reviews, particlarly on Fred Miranda, I decided that for my level of photography I couldn't justify the expense of the Speedlite.

So at half the price I've got the spec of a 550/580 and a damn good piece of kit it is too. It seems sturdily built, is a doddle to operate and I am well pleased. I am aware of possible future compatibility issues but I'm not likely to be buying a new camera for a long time. I could have bought cheaper in Hong Kong but in the end decided to buy at home and got it for £135 plus £10 pp at Bristol Cameras. I ordered 9.30 pm on Wednesday evening and it was delivered today. I'll certainly use them again if the price is right.

So if anyone is in the market for a good flash at a good price I can recommend the Sigma and Bristol Cameras. HTH.

regards
