Intereseting lighting kits article
In Réponses Photo. They put 9 studio flash kits, including the D-Lite 4 kit, to the test and worked out the best VFM.
The cheapest they had was the Interfit Venus 300 kit, which they said was good because of its metal construction, and its amplitude, but doesn't have a very practical pilot lamp, and the light tube is exposed (whatever that means [2nd thing]) D-Lite 4 kit was the third cheapest. They like having 2 softboxes, the active ventilation, its digital display, and its power; but they say the pilot lamp isn't powerful, they don't like the plastic body/case, and call the tripods 'heavy and basic'. Dunno what you make of that! I might write up more of it, but it's actually quite hard translating that kind of thing... ![]() Just thought you lot might find it of interest, J

Re: Intereseting lighting kits article
Languages seems to be the thing I'm good at rather than maths + science. Did alright in me GCSEs, lowest grade was a B, but I chose to to German and French (and English lit and photography) because I found it so much easier. My German is waaay better than my French though, I can have quite decent conversations in German, whereas I can make myself understood in French!
![]() Most people don't like languages, but people do it because either they think it's a soft option, or well...I dunno, but I'm an exception, I (*start geek mode*) really enjoy them [/geek mode]. . Hate maths though ![]() |

![]() Seems as well that my french course is useless because its all about very modern issues but the book is nearly 10 years old so the base of what we should be learning is all irrelevant ![]() |

Re: Intereseting lighting kits article
You're lucky, we don't even have a damned book
The teacher's in the French dept (interestingly not German though, we have a 10 yr old book for that ) think that the syllabus changes to often for us to use books, so we just gets millions of sheets, nightmare!Oh and don't worry, you don't wish you could have done photography. It's all arty farty present-your-books-with-mounted-borders-on-your-essays type stuff, and well over half the people taking it don't know what they're doing, including one of the teachers. It can be fun, but it's too much work for not enough return for me, as I don't get much new photography knowledge out of it. Tbh I spend most of my time helping everyone else. ![]() |

Re: Intereseting lighting kits article
You're the opposite of my son Jack, he's hopeless at languages, but is taking three sciences and maths at A level. I gave up helping with homework several years ago now
