It's time to get a bag
Hi snappers
Right i have just bought a Canon 100-400L IS USM , the next two lenses will beCanon EF 100mm F2.8 Macro USM and a 24-70 of some sorts. I have a battery grip on my Canon 350d, will be carrying spare cards-well the usual stuff. I need a bag, that won't break the bank or my back carrying it. I would like a rucksack type. Any idea's. I would like one so i can leave the 100-400 mounted to the camera. Max about £100.00 Thanks Lee |

Re: It's time to get a bag
Hello Gary,
Thanks I have been looking at the Lowepro Mini Trekker AW. It now seems to come with a rain cover included. Just after a few thoughts and user input. Might take the plunge later.

Re: It's time to get a bag
As I said in my review of this bag, it's gone all oround the world with me and taken some serious abuse, I use it on a daily basis and it does get thrown about the place in all conditions and still looks like new. I would highly reccomend this bag.

Re: It's time to get a bag
Yep, highly reccommended from me too, I regularly carry my 350D + Grip with the 100-400L IS attached... with loads of room for other stuff aswell

Re: It's time to get a bag
According to my wife, I've got more bags than cameras - hmm, I think she might be right...
![]() At the moment, my every-day bag is a Billingham Hadley, which is nicely dirty and contains an Eos 10D with 100-300, an Olympus E10 and a Coolpix 990 with the 24mm more or less permanently fitted. I've never been a fan of changing lenses and the problems with dust in DSLRs is just another excuse not to! With the leather shoulder pad for the Hadley, I can carry a ten pound load all day without strain, and I'm not a big chap. Backpacks are fine for travelling but I find they get in the way of taking pictures.

Re: It's time to get a bag
I'm a big fan of Tamracs and have an Expedition 8, Pro 8 bag and misc straps! The Expedition 8 is a 1st generation - the newer 2nd generation look fantastic and I've my sights set on the Expedition 7!

Re: It's time to get a bag
Hi Snappers
Thanks for your replies. The main problem is that i have quite bad A.S(ankylosing spondylitis). So i get really bad shoulder ache. I really would like a bag with good padded shoulder straps, i think i would need to carry as least as possible too. The Tamracs look like the have more padding on the straps. I will try and get a look and feel of a couple before i take the plunge. Buying a 100-400 won't help my A.S either Lee
