Kenko 1.4x pro DG teleconvertor & Exif data

I took 2 photos at 300mm but one was with the 1.4x converter, but the exif data says they where both took at 300mm is this correct thank you ...Ray

When i use my Kenko 2x with my 300mm it says 600mm

My 1.4X 300 pro gives the correct focal length eg 420 with 300mm in Exif. That is in camera and in any application that can read Exif,
