Kingston 8GB CF card

Don't know if you already know but....
Kingston Technology is launching a new memory card for professional photographers.
The 8GB CF card is the latest edition to the Elite Pro Line.
Kingston say that it is designed for studio, catalogue and portrait photographers, The 8GB card offers read speeds of up to 8MB/s and write speeds up to 6.75MB/s. It will set you back £212.00 + vat and comes with a lifetime warranty and free technical support. (im sure that in a month or so the price will come down)

Ain't nothing like putting all of your eggs in one basket.

I would opt for 8-1gig or 4-2gig cards instead.

Seems that Kingston are playing catch-up with Sandisk, whom now have an Extreme III series 8GB card.. will read/write around 9MB/sec depending on your camera's throughput.

Sure, there a little pricier at around £300 inc. VAT but, for my money, I'd stick with Sandisk since they always seem to come up trumps in the speed and reliability stakes
