which lens ?

was thinking about buying the tamron 28-85mm f2.8 (canon mount), i have read a bit about it and like what ive read, the other one i had in mind is the sigma 18-50mm f2.8, its hard to pick, what do yous think about these lenses,

I love my Tamron 28-75 f2.8, absolutely love it. The only problem with it is that you really do need something else wider than it on a crop camera.
Tamron also make a 17-50 f2.8 now as well (Tamron SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di-II LD Aspherical [IF] - they do love their long names, but the 'SP' bit is the thing to look for with Tamron lenses) that seems to be just as good a performer as the 28-75, but with a much more usefull range on a crop camera, for about the same price.

thankyou liam, ive read that the 17-50mm is a great walk around lens, this is perfect for me, its a good price too, i think i will buy that one, will let you know when it comes, i so excited now, i will have no nails left waiting on it,
