Welcome to Pixalo Nicky

You can't remove the lens on your camera. Only single lens reflex or some high end compact cameras will allow you to do this.

Thanks Dabhand...but someone did remove it in January, and put my new lens on..unfortunately I can't get in touch with that person, son's ex-girlfriend...she took it off and put a new higher zoom on for me but i can't remember how she did it . Now when I add the lens to the existing one, I get a round edge to the pics

I think that you are talking about a lens that you fit onto the existing lens. The dark edging you are getting is called vignetting and it is caused by the camera 'seeing' the mount of the additional lens. This usually only happens at the wide end of the zoom range, so use a longer setting and it should disappear.

Is it not an addon lens that fits on a tube barrel adaptor? In which case it should unscrew - both the lens off the adaptor and the tube off the camera
