Lensbaby advice

I've just been looking at these while browsing, has anybody got or have used one of these. Looks like you can have lots of fun, or is it worth saving the spondulies and cheating in PS instead?

There is no cheating in PS, it is a tool just like any other that you can use to improve, alter or add range to your photography. At least thats one opinion

But to answer your original question, I have not used or had any experiance with lensbabies, sorry.

Steve in your opinion do you think they are any good, even just to have in ya bag as they are only around £60 for when your feeling mega creative or du think they are a bit of a gimmick?

I've never had one but I did look at a whole series of pictures someone had taken with one. Seem to remember a comment about it being difficult to focus and hold the camera until you got the knack.

It looks the sort of thing that might be fun to play with for a while but then move it on on ebay. The distortion is a novelty and novelties tend to wear off.

ive used one. at f2.8 its really hard to get anything useful from it.f5.6 and f8 are ok with it but still difficult to get used to. they give you really mad purple fringing though, and not much contrast outside. you can get some nice results with a flash though.
sorry i have no pics to show though, theyre all on the work pc.
