Re: my new sony a350
I've not so long ago spoken to a couple who have done exactly the same. But they only had a dslr and 18-200mm lens, which was heavy enough to carry around. Never mind any other lenses. I would think about the weight you are carrying with you first, cause lenses and other bits for a camera are very heavy if you are traveling around all the time.

Re: my new sony a350
Ok that's fair enough. Sigma 105 would be a good one if your on a budget for macro's.

Re: my new sony a350
Aidy, did you check about the availability of third party manufactures products to fit with the Sony system? I know that the likes of Sigma and Tamron make their lenses and electronics available for Nikon and Canon systems (both different) but I am not sure if they do it also for the Sony system?
It is almost always cheaper to buy third party equipment but the quality is usually comparable to cost. In other words you get what you pay for. There are still some great bargains to be had in the ranges though, but I guess they are no use to you if you need Sony fit and they are not available in that mount.
