Need batt charger. Ever heard of...?
I'm having a problem with batteries for my Canon 350D going dead in a very short time. ALL 4 of them! Before I start trying to chase up Canon about the camera, I have to suspect the Canon battery charger supplied with the kit when I bought the camera. When I put the battery in the charger cradle, it flashes for about 60 seconds then appears to be fully charged. I bought a charger for the car and the batteries don't do that, but of course I'm not driving for long enough to fully charge it, either. So, I've been looking online for a battery charger since I can't find one locally. I've found two companies with reasonable prices: Batteries4shop.co.uk and batterycenter.co.uk. Their web pages are almost identical, and the battery chargers ARE identical, but the prices vary slightly (just). Has anyone heard of these companies?
The battery chargers don't show a manufacturer name (they're NOT Canon). It comes with the mains charger as well as a car charger for £12.95 or £13.33, depending on the site, plus postage. Any experience with either? Thanks for any suggestions, info. |

Yes, I bought a replacement battery from Welcome to batterycenter.co.uk so at least I can confirm they are fine. The battery came quickly and it is still going strong holding full charges for the expected length of time. I have also had your problem before and yes, it was the charger that was the problem then too. I can't guarantee it will be this time but it stands a strong chance I would say. Hope that helps. Cheers, Rob |
