Nikon DG-2 eyepiece magnifier

Hi, as a spectacle wearer I am considering buying the DG-2 for my D200. Has anyone got or used one of these? I would be interested in any opinions as to wether it is worth the money (appx £77).

I don't have the DG-2 but I understand the principle on which it works; it magnifies only the central portion of the viewfinder. It's cheifly designed for macro photography or other applications where accurate focusing is critical. Take a look at the following link for a thorough explanation

If you're finding it difficult to view the D200 eyepiece with your spectacles, the following accessory would be more beneficial to you

Nikon UK - Magnifying eyepiece DK-21M

The D200's viewfinder is rated at 0.94x magnification so, by bolting on the DK-21M, the viewfinder magnification is increased to 1.1x. That might sound like a small gain but, in reality, it makes a very significant difference.

The DK-21M can be had from various retailers for about £20.
