Nikon Flash
My Family Are Clubbing Together, To Buy Me A Flashgun For Christmas.
The Two I Am Considering Are, Nikon Sb 600 Or Nikon Sb800. Has Anyone Got Any Views On These Good Or Bad. Thank You. Merry Christmas And Happy New Year To All On Pixalo. |

Lucky old you, Woody. Other than the 800 is a bit more powerful. I think it has a few more functions (according to my D70 manual) and someone told me it comes with a bounce diffuser. There must be someone here who will know for sure.
There is some info here on the nikon web site, but interestingly, in the comparison table there are fewer items/functions than in my manual. |

Nice one Woody, if you can go for the SB800, it does have more functionality and is slightly more powerful that the 600, I have both and they are both good guns. If you can get your head round the manuals and use the Creative lighting System (CLS) it opens up new possibilities for your photography.

I THINK I WILL BE GOING FOR THE 800, AS ALWAYS YOU BUY ONE MODEL, AND WISH YOU HAD BOUGHT THE ONE UP FROM IT. AS YOU SAY HACKER IF I CAN GET MY HEAD ROUND THE MANUAL, I AM UP TO MY NECK IN MANUALS AT THE MOMENT, MY D200 MANUAL, PHOTOSHOP MANUAL,ALSO BOUGHT ANOTHER BOOK, NIKON D200 DIGITAL FIELD GUIDE. HOPEFULLY OVER CHRISTMAS I MIGHT ACTUALLY GET ROUND TO USING MY CAMERA  THANKS AGAIN GUYS. |
