Nikon pricing duh?

It seems that some websites are advertising the D300s at only $40 less than the D700, with the D700 the price is all in the sensor supposedly. So if you are going to go and buy a D300s wether or not you got a D300 which i would estimate very few are who already have a D300 Then im thinking maybe quite a few D300s lookers will say lets stuff a few more quid towards it and but a D700 I would if i didt have a D300 already. Id be interesting to see the new sales of the D700 over the next 12 months against the new D300s.
There again with the current economic recession who knows Me i just wish id bought a D3 when it was only 2450.
Also i think its a real shame Nikons show at Olympia this year isnt taking place be interesting to know why obviously costs them big money, but with these new bodies and lenses etc, thought they may of wanted to push them harder than ever.
On the sensor front can you justify another 1400 for a new D3 against a D700 Ok if you can claw the cost back but for us mere mortals cant really justify the outlay .....well my wife cant anyway

Basically are you going to pay alot more for a 300s than a 300 just for the vid and two card slots or gonna bung another few quid and go FF.
