Question Old Canon FD 200mm Macro Lens

Simple question,
I see you can buy a converter for attaching old FD lenses to EOS bodys.
As I have an old Canon Ftb QL and am reluctant to dispose of my lenses could I use a converter on my Canon EOS 7D to use these FD lenses and has anybody used these converters considering some have a lens in them which to me seems a bit dubious

Not on an FD lens, however I have just purchased a converter for my Tamron 500mm mirror going to EF and that seems to work alright.
For just over a tenner on e-bay I thought it was worth a punt.

Yeah, the FD converter has a lens which I guess is going to mean that you'll lose some quality and light but not having used one myself, I don't know to what degree. I've the M42 converter but that's lensless and, like the FD will be, entirely manual. I'm considering getting the 'chipped' version so as to be able to set the exposure in-camera (essentially so as to use the camera light meter to set the shutter)

If you do get it, I look forward to your comments (and pics!) as to results

Thanks for that.
I see there are some converters without the lens which prohibits focus at infinity.I don't think that will be a problem.
