Smile Old Tamron 75-300 zoom

I used to have a Canon F1 camera, but I lost the camera back in the ocean. I still have a few lenses, one of which is a Tamron 75-300 (manual focus) zoom lense. I recently bought a new Canon Rebel XT (350D) digital camera and would like to know if I could adapt the old lense for use on the XT ( fd mount to EF mount) and use it on the new camera

Re: Old Tamron 75-300 zoom

Just about the best way to get an Tamron Adaptall lens (I assume the 75-300 is one) to fit a Canon Eos is to replace the FD mount and fit a M42 mount, then use a M42-EF adapter. FD-EF adapters don't work too well because of the lens mount to film/sensor distance, the adapters need to have optical correction in order for the lens to focus at infinity.
