Yes, they are good, first time I've managed to get them to bend with the price, or at least throw in an extra.

Re: Panic Time

I'm out tonight at our local club 10 mile time trial. I'm going to get some shots on the hill where it's bright and on the finishing climb where it's usually dull. I'lll differ the ISO settings & try to get a good selection to post later for you.
I'm then out on Saturday at an afternoon event with 120 riders, so can really get some trials for you then. Not having much luck with the dogs, but I've never been able to get a good front on shot of them.
Team GB does know about them, but has declined to sponsor them. Chris Hoy did send an email a while ago when I sent him some shots of the track champs, and he liked the photos of them.

Oh, and my 40D us up for sale on ebay if anyone is interested, photos of camera taken with new 1D and 24-105 lens & there was one problem, the files were so good you could see every speck of dust

Re: Panic Time

Ok quick shot at ISO 800. Poor Simon dragged out into the garden and made to stand in front of the camera! Child cruelty apparently.
Grain appeared smooth at this and higher. More shots later. Oh, and f6.3 @ 1/125 sec.

Here is ISO 3200 again f6.3 @ 1/640 sec

Re: Panic Time

So you went out to get photo paper and came back with a Mk-III.

Kewl - must try a bout of that kind of 'forgetfulness' myself.

Oh I already did

Re: Panic Time

LOL, it's fatal just walking into a photography shop

Anyway, just uploaded the time trial shots on my website. Now, I didn't get as many sharp again as normal for action, and this is with the 70-200 that was sent back to Lehmans for testing and was apparently ok. Hmmm, I think I'm going to send it back again, only to Canon, as I'm still not sure it is right, especially comparing it to the 24-105 shots. All the photo's were taken at ISO ranging from 800 - 1600 and this is the link
