Possible FF

I was debating wether to sell my D300 and either get the D700 or a D3 at some point, however its the lenses i was concerned about sat in the bag at the moment are as follows
D300 and grip (nikon)
85 1.8 nikon
50 1.4g nikon
70 200 2.8 vr nikon
10.5 fisheye 2.8 nikon
70 300 4.5 nikon
18 70 nikon
24 70 2.8 sigma
10 20 sigma
17 55 2.8 nikon
18 200 vr nikon
150 500 sigma

Now shooting a wide and varied range of subjects mainly landscapes etc just wondering if i did decide to go ff what lenses would i need to oust and anyone who remembers yes i did have a 14 24 nikon but i sold the dam thing
Anyway im only pondering at the moment but after reading some reviews on prime lense performance and coverage on FF compared to DX cant say im not ruling the possibilty out.
And please no replys or PM trying to rob me (the wife does that) before ive decided
I do love the 10.5 fisheye yet its near junk on the FF and again i had a 15 2.8 sigma which i sold which was ideal on a FF as Pete T demo it in my kitchen when he crossed my palm with silver and it went northbound up the M5.
There again it wont be till ive had this building work done anyway which wont be done till end of sept as id rather have a roof on my house than a D3 suppose i could always put an umbrella over the bed!
All depends if this project stays within budget. Im sure if shes getting a ensuite and a complete new bedroom i can have a new toy

Re: Possible FF

Well you could sell 4 lenses already as they don't go on FF. And sell your D300, and you most probably got most of the money for the FF

I'm very happy with my D700. The quality of photo's is great. Only the photographer still has to improve

Re: Possible FF

If you want the 15mm fisheye back I am sure we could do a deal - as I'm trying to get the funds together for a 28-70 or a 24-70 f2.8
Oh - and I love my D700

Re: Possible FF

So did you get the 70-200 sorted in the end Andy ?

My plan for FF is

D700
Nikon 24-70 f/2.8
Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR
Sigma 12-24mm
Nikon 50mm f/1.8

Re: Possible FF

It must be the type of photography I do now but only predominently use 2 lenses.

They are a 24-70mm f2.8 and 85mm f1.8. I have the 50mm f1.8 but it rarely comes out of the bag. The ISO range and noise reduction is so superb on the D3 that when I'm shooting a gig the difference between the f1.8 and f2.8 make no difference.

I will say though, I did ponder going back a step and changing from the D3 to the D700. I just like the size, weight etc of the D3, May still yet tho, never say never.
