Ricoh GX100
I may have found at last a replacement for my venerable Casio as a go everywhere camera the Ricoh GX100
Considerations for me For: 24-72mm 2.5 - 4.4 lens Viewfinder removable with viewfinder info VR PAM modes with 2 dial input Manual focus 1CM macro Raw + JPG hot shoe ISO1600 (but of course it will be rubbish) Auto bracketing (exp & WB) Pop up flash Internal memory Good battery life and can take AAA in an emergency. Against: Bigger, claims to be 25MM but looks over 30mm thick at widest point (may be the deal breaker) Lens cap Only 1/2000 top speed No in camera cropping. Movie capture is a big step back I will particularly miss past movie mode I will order one next week to play with. Has anyone any experience of them yet? |
