Sigma 10 20 v Nikon 14 24

Heres the Sigma at 14mm


Heres the Nikon at 14mm


Both at F6.3 on a tripod bolted to a D300.

Next heres some at 18mm


Thats the Sigma below is the Nikon again F6.3.


I do apologise for the subjects but its raining hard and im bored! Still at least i moved the clothes airer with her underwear on out the way !!!!

May try a few more later on

From what I can see there does not seem to be much difference.

What may also be of interest is a couple comparisons of small enlarged sections of one of these pictures. One form the centre and one from a corner which world show the image quality

Well if I would go of this comparison of photo's, I would definitely choose the sigma. There is in my eyes hardly any difference that I can spot.

Tomorrow or weekend ill take them both out for a walk and see what its like out in the field. My intial findings and i admit these subjects aint the best but i thought the Nikon looked sharper towards the edges yet the Sigma was a tad brighter. However im finding it hard to see with the new Nikon prices a 1000 difference.
