Sigma 17-70 f2-8-4.5

I decided to buy this lens after considering it and the Nikon 16-85vr. The Sigma does not have OS and therefore is about 1/2 the cost of the Nikon. Part of my decision was based on the fact that the Sigma is pretty fast which I think should make up for the lack of OS/VR at these focal lengths.
The camera is a D90 and I am no pro. Here are a couple of shots.

My dog Kiera outside yesterday. This lens is very much sharper and better overall than my 18-55 kit lens was. Nothing new to most and I expected it but you never know how much difference there will behttp://.

I think this lens is more in line with what the D90 is capable of.
