Sigma announce APO 50-150 mm F2.8 DC lens
Sigma has today announced a very interesting sounding lens, the new APO 50-150 mm F2.8 EX DC HSM. This lens promises to be compact (its DC notation means its designed for an APS-C size imaging circle) and fast (an F2.8 maximum aperture) with a good telephoto zoom range, HSM focusing motor and four SLD (Low Dispersion) glass elements to reduce chromatic aberrations. This lens on a 1.5x crop digital SLR (such as the Nikon D80) would provide an equivalent FOV of 75 to 225 mm.

Depends on price, it might come in handy for Durids bend at Brands Hatch as it has a short range. Not sure at the moment.
