Re: sigma ef 500 super dg and d80

My understanding is that you can trip a second Sigma 500 with the first; so use the D80 hotshoe or a lead (if D80 has ability) to fire the first

Re: sigma ef 500 super dg and d80

does the sigma support wireless ttl / nikon creative lighting system - if not then you won't be able to slave it using wireless ttl - well not the ttl part as that implies the camera will control the flash output wirelessly

i have managed to fire the sigma wirelessly thru d80's built in flash as a signal, but the d80's flash contributes to the exposure,

Re: sigma ef 500 super dg and d80

goto the flash settings in the menu of the camera and set the camera flash to manual and 1/64 power (or whatever is the lowest) that should help

I don't know whether the sigma flash uses the CLS wireless system or not,. if it does you can use commander mode and set the d80 to master with the internal flash set not to contribute
