Re: some extra cords with my radio trigger?

Do you mean a radio trigger? It goes on your camera and triggers the lights to flash when you take a pic.

First you may have some cords left over, you may not need all of them.
If you have a thingy that fits on a flash shoe its the transmitter. Fit on your camera shoe. If you have no shoe on your camara then you may need one of the leads to go from the flash connector on the camera to the transmitter. The flash connector on the camera is usually coaxial and looks a bit like a very small tv arial socket. Anything that looks like a headphone socket is probably something else.

There may be another boxy thing that is the recceiver. If so this usually dangles on a short lead out the back of your flash. The Flash probably has a conector that looks llike a headphone socket.

Any long leads are probably not RF but can go from a camera straight to the flash.

What camera do you have?

Re: some extra cords with my radio trigger?

i have a pentax k100d, i've been able to hook up my lights and everything, but i have extra cords that seem kinda pointless, i'll take pictures of what i have and post them cause it's kinda hard to explain everything, i have the thing that dangles from my lights, and the thing lol that goes on the hotshoe.... lol i'll post pictures, and also some times my lights just flash with out me touching them, i've seen this before but yesterday i went to use them they just went off like every sec. and i even blew a fuse... i called backdropsource.com so they could send me a manual because they didnt send me one with the lights, they said they'd email it to me, i have yet to receive it, i'll have to call them again... i hate dealing with them...
