Some help please

I need to take pictures of my swimming pool liner for court. The problem I am having besides using a 12 year old camcorder is that I am trying to show the wrinkles on the pool floor in the shallow end that has 2" of water in it. I have a black liner which is hard enough to show detail but I also have sun glare on the water and shading from my neighbors trees. I took a few shot's at night using a shop light with better results but I get the glare from the bulb and can't take wider pictures. What should I be looking to do and how, filter the sun light and take pic's in the day or better and or different lighting for night photos? I have a few pic's just don't know how to post Thank you for the help

Re: Some help please

How about shooting from inside a glass bowl/vase? Quality won't be great but you won't get the reflections

Welcome to Pixalo not2high2fly

A polorising filter will help to reduce or maybe eliminate reflections and oblique lighting will show wrinkles by lighting one side and casting shadows on the other side. If the wrinkles are not in the samr direction only the ones at about right angles to the light will show so you might need an assistant to move the light around trying to maintain the angle. A directional light source like a slide projector or a light with a reflector giving directional light will be better than a diffused one.

You could try diffusing the sunlight with some fine net curtain in a home made frame - again held by an assistant.
