Sony A6000 mirrorless

I've been considering dipping my toes In the mirrorless end of the pool. I know the 6000 is a few models old but the specs haven't changed THAT much..

first purchase would be a Sony E mount to Nikon F mount adapter so I could use my good glass I already own. But ultimately I'd be looking for Sony glass. and fossil a Sony A to E mount.. There's a veritable treasure trove of old Minolta AF kits on craigslist that are ofter underpriced.

things that cause my attention: 11FPS mode.. there are times when 4 just don't cut it. wifi/nfc support..

This is a several year move for me. If I like it I'll go for an A7RII. But only after a few years. I dot' generally make sweeping changes..

Re: Sony A6000 mirrorless

I have an A6000 and love it. Also got the A6300, both of which I use rather than my A77. Normally shoot 4 or 5 frames off at 11 fps when needed but even at 11fps you don't always hit just the right moment

Re: Sony A6000 mirrorless

Jake, do you just use E mount lenses or have you bought adapters for running A or F mount? that really has my interest. I spot awesome A mount glass on craigslist all the time going for pennies on the dollar - I sometimes just buy them because I have a friend with Sony gear and he appreciates my looking out for him..

but I've got a stable full of Nikon glass and I spotted a converter for that. Sounds almost too good to be true but I'd be in heaven if I could reuse my glass (while acquiring good E mount glass along the way)

Re: Sony A6000 mirrorless

Yes I use a mixture of a and e. Longest rig is a 400mm A mount + 1.4x converter but you then are loosing one of the main mirrorless advantages - light weight.
My walkabout lens is an E mount Zeiss 16 to 70mm.
