Storage

Hopefully I'm off to Switzerland soon. I have a few CF cards (about 2gb worth in various sizes) but a mate has recommended that I get a Vosonic VP2160 40GB portable storage device (£129 at WH Express which comes with a free in car charger worth another 20 quid). There's no photo viewer screen which I assume keeps the cost down and 40gb of portable storage for £130 is tempting. My pal raves about his but has anyone else used one or something similar? Cheers

I've got the VP6210 (40Gb), and it's much easier to carry around than a laptop and cost me £225. Transfer speeds are fast from the CF card to the unit, and then on to the PC. Mine can also play videos, mp3 etc. and uses a Fuji NP-120 battery, so spares will be easy to come by.

I use mine quite a lot for saving my photos, listening to music etc., exactly what it was designed for really, recommended.

Cheers - I have an old iPod for music (shame it can't be used for transfer etc) so I might go for the 2160.
