I can't give you a link or anything but, IIRC, it's about the same quality as the 18-200 but with an extra 50mm. What I can confirm is, that the 18-200 is a cracking lens for the price and I use it as my walk-about.

Re: Tamron 18 - 250 Mm Lens

STEPHENO I HAVE HEARD GOOD REPORTS ON THE 18 - 200, WHICH I WISH I HAD BOUGHT INSTEAD OF THE 18 - 70.

LIKE YOU SAID IT IS A GOOD WALKABOUT LENS, WHICH IS WHAT I AM AFTER, AS
CHANGING LENSES ALL THE TIME CAUSES ME PROBLEMS.

IF THE 18 - 250 IS AS GOOD, THEN IT MUST BE A BONUS TO HAVE THE EXTRA 50MM.

I HAVE BEEN HOLDING OFF BUYING THE 18 - 200 AS IN AWAY IT IS NEAR ENOUGH
DUPLICATING WHAT I ALREADY HAVE. ONE THING I EXPECT THE PRICE OF THE 18-200
WILL COME DOWN NOW.

Good lord, please forget the Sigma and take the Nikon 18-200 + VR! I've worked for the AP for 12 years and own the Nikon myself. It's a consumer-priced lens with the build/optical quality of a professional one. Trust me, do a bit more research, you won't be dissapointed!
