Tamron SPAF 90mm F2.8 Di Macro Lens
Recently got this lens as part of my set for my Sony Alpha350 Camera. Not had much of a chance to play with the macro side of it, as this is a new area for me, but have put in some shots at various ranges and conditions, with little digital editing other than processing from RAW to Jpeg using Capture 4.
1# Aperture Priority setting F2.8 - 1/320 - ISO100 (Hand Held)- Morning sun was breaking through the clouds from lhs.  2# Manual Mode F4.5 - 1/4000 - ISO400 (Hand Held)  3# Aperture Prority F3.2 - 1/320 - ISO100 (Hand Held)  4# manual Exposure F6.3 - 1/3200 - ISO400 (Hand Held)

one thing I can't understand, ISO 400 and shutter speed 1/4000? Why would you ever use so much ISO at so much light?

my error,
 was on manual mode and did the old trick or checking everything except ISO setting

Thanks for sharing these, I like to see Tamron pictures. I have looked at the lenses but I don't own one. You never can tell though.

Having had a little more playing with the lens and trying my hand at Macro (still learning), i thought i would put these 2 shots up as they shot the lens at macro.
These were taken hand held, F10 - 1/80 ISO 100

love the macro kev... will be back in the uk soon so can go on the hunt for all things small sometime.....long time no posting... just been moving around a fair bit will get my backside in gear soon and stick some pics up on here when i get back to uk....

I have this lens too and I am just starting to practice with it. Though when I received it, I thought it had a plasticky feel and I was wondering what I had just purchased, now it does great macro shots. (Great in the sense that I am satisfied with my first shots and I certainly am not a specialist in that field)
I am amazed that this Tammy can also make beautiful "long" shots such as yours up above. Cheers. JP |

Like the macro shots. My problem always seems to be the wind not the lens (....er I mean atmospheric distubance not the other kind!!!!!!!!!! )
